“It feels good to win a second time,” Davis said. “I put in a hard day’s work and it feels good for it to pay off.”

Some of her inspirations include her idol, Shelly Ann Fraser Pryce, and her two coaches, Joshua Harrison and Coach Fitzgerald. Before her meets she talks with the two coaches about tips.

“I trust in what I learn and know to win the races. I spend the day before relaxing and not stressing out,” Davis said.

More than 2,100 athletes have come from across the U.S., Canada, and Australia to participate in the 38th annual Simplot Games. Simplot Games remains the nation’s premier high school indoor track and field event. Sponsored by the J.R. Simplot Company since 1979, the Simplot Games are held at Idaho State University’s Holt Arena in Pocatello, Idaho.
