Victoria Tachinski from Winnipeg, Canada, wins the girls’ 400 meters at 2015 Simplot Games Pocatello, Idaho – Victoria Tachinski, grade 10, from Winnipeg, Manitoba, won the girls’ 400-meter dash at the 2015 Simplot Games in Pocatello, Idaho. Tachinski’s winning time of 54:05 was a new Canadian youth indoor record and a personal record for Tachinski. “I was prepared. I was ready mentally and physically,” said Tachinski. “I had it in my mind to run fast and I did.” This is her first Simplot Games appearance and she said, “Everything has been just amazing – the facilities, events, people. It’s all been so awesome.” When Tachinski first heard about this meet she knew she wanted to be here. “I would really love to come back next year.” More than 2,000 athletes have come from across the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Australia to participate in the 37th annual Simplot Games.
