Tri-Valley Track Club from Concord, Calif., wins the boys’ sprint medley relay at 2016 Simplot Games
 
Pocatello, Idaho – The Tri-Valley Track Club from Concord, Calif., won a heart- racing boys’ sprint medley relay by pulling ahead in the final lap. It looked like Boise’s YMCA Team Idaho had victory in the bag until Tri-Valley pulled ahead and stole the win.
 
The team’s runners said the secret to victory was pre-season workouts, good hand offs, and giving it everything they’ve got. The team’s favorite part of the Simplot Games is the competition on the fast track.
 
More than 2,100 athletes have come from across the U.S., Canada, and Australia to participate in the 38^th annual Simplot Games. Simplot Games remains the nation’s premier high school indoor track and field event. Sponsored by the J.R. Simplot Company since 1979, the Simplot Games are held at Idaho State University’s Holt Arena in Pocatello, Idaho.
