Throw 1 Deep Sweeps Competition in Weight Throw at 2017 Simplot Games
Pocatello, Idaho – Jason Judge and Sydnee Walker, both seniors from Marietta, Ga., on team Throw 1 Deep, took first in the boys’ and girls’ weight throw at the 2017 Simplot Games. Judge’s distance was 65’5”, and Walker’s mark was 56’11”.
Throw 1 Deep also claimed the second place spots in the same event. Evan Hardin’s mark was 62’3”, and Makenli Forrest’s mark was 56’2”.
“It’s awesome to be here,” said Walker. “I feel good about how I did.
Walker has competed in the weight throw for three years, but this is her first time at Simplot Games. She said she is using Simplot Games as a building experience to prepare for nationals, where she hopes to shine as a senior

dge has his sights set on competing at the New Balance Indoor National meet, and attending Harvard University in the fall.
“For my last throw, I just had fun and managed to throw an indoor personal best,” said Judge.
