Pocatello, Idaho – Ryan Smeeton, a junior from Calgary, Alberta, won the highly competitive boys’ 1600-meter run with a time of 4:16.87 at the 2015 Simplot Games.

“I was feeling good. I went into the race and planned to kick with 400 meters to go,” he said.

Ryan came into the Games with hopes of improving his fifth place finish from last year. He’s had a great experience at Simplot Games and hopes to come back next year to compete.
