New Image Training of Los Angeles, Calif., Wins the Boys’ Sprint Medley Relay at the 2019 Simplot Games

 
Pocatello, Idaho– New Image Training Group of Los Angeles, Calif., won the boys’ sprint medley relay at the 2019 Simplot Games with a time of 3:38.81.
 
Senior Lennard Marshall ran the 400-meter leg, sophomore Anthony Taylor ran the first 200-meter leg, senior Samadhi Soph ran the second 200-meter leg, and senior Levi Premer finished the final 800 meters as the anchor.
 
“This was our first time competing at Simplot Games as a group,” Marshall said. “New Image Training has a legacy of placing at Simplot Games and we wanted to continue that tradition.”
 
Taylor and Soph are first time competitors at Simplot Games while Marshall and Premer compete for their third and second time respectively.
 
 
More than 2,200 athletes will come from across the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand to participate in the 41stannual Simplot Games. Simplot Games remains the nation’s premier high school indoor track and field event. Sponsored by the J.R. Simplot Company since 1979, the Simplot Games are held at Idaho State University’s Holt Arena in Pocatello, Idaho.
