New Image Training Group of Los Angeles, Calif., wins 2015 Simplot Games boys’ 4×200 relay
Pocatello, Idaho – The New Image Training Group ‘A’ team of Ryan Hall, junior, Brandon Hasson, senior, Jesse Audelo, junior, and Renard Bell, junior, from Los Angeles, Calif., won the boys’ 4×200 relay at the 2015 Simplot Games with a time of 1:27.91.
“We felt great going into the race,” Hasson said. He’s the only one of the team who has previously competed at the Games.
Bell loved his first experience here. “It’s such a great atmosphere,” he said. “The audience was so great at cheering us on.”
“We’ll be back next year,” said Audelo. “You can call us the dream team. This is just the beginning.”
The New Image Training Group ‘B’ team also competed in the final with a seventh place time of 1:33.46.
More than 2,000 athletes have come from across the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Australia to participate in the 37th annual Simplot Games. Simplot Games remains the nation’s premier high school indoor track and field event. Sponsored by the J.R. Simplot Company since 1979, the Simplot Games are held at Idaho State University’s Holt Arena in Pocatello, Idaho.
