Montana Athletes Look to Shine at 2015 Simplot Games
Pocatello, Idaho – High school track and field athletes will gather in Pocatello this weekend to compete at the 37th annual Simplot Games. Several Montana athletes are competing to make their mark, and take home medals. Watch for these athletes to chase down their dream and represent their state:

  • Makena Morley, senior from Big Fork, placed first in the 3200 meters at the 2014 Simplot Games. In January, Morley won the Bupa Great Edinburgh Cross Country International Challenge held in Scotland. She was named the Montana Gatorade Girls Cross-Country Runner of the Year in the 2013/2014 season and in the 2014/2015 season. Morley is committed to running cross-country and track and field at University of Montana this fall.

  • Aidan Reed, junior from Helena, was named Montana’s Gatorade Boys Cross Country Runner of the Year. He is the state champion in the 5k, and winner of the Butte Invitational and Great Falls Invitational. Reed will compete in the 3200 meters.

More than 2,000 athletes will come from across the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Australia to participate in the 37th annual Simplot Games. Simplot Games remains the nation’s premier high school indoor track and field event. Sponsored by the J.R.
