Montana Athletes Among Simplot Games Top Performers
Pocatello, Idaho – Annie Hill from Kalispell, Dawson LaRance from Billings, and Marshall Beatty from Missoula are among several Montana athletes to the 2017 Simplot Games finals. Montana athletes are standouts in the company of international competition.
Here are some of the Montana athletes to watch during Saturday’s finals:
Dawson LaRance, a senior from Billings, qualified to finals in the boys’ 800-meter race. LaRance had the top qualifying time at 1:54.73.
Annie Hill, a junior from Kalispell (pictured), qualified to finals in the girls’ 3200-meter race. Hill had the second qualifying time at 11:00.82.
Marshall Beatty, a senior from Missoula, qualified to finals in the boys’ 3200 meter. Beatty qualified second with a time at 9:23.52.
Cleet Wrzesinski, a senior from Baker, qualified to finals in the boys’ 60-meter hurdles. Wrzesinski qualified third with a time at 8.42 seconds.
Camila Noe, a junior from Bozeman, qualified to finals in the girls’ 3200 meter. Noe qualified third with a time at 11:01.26.
Alexa Arthun, a senior from Bozeman, qualified to finals in the girls’ pole vault.
Camille Landon, a senior from Bozeman, qualified to finals in the girls’ high jump.
Whitney Morrison, a freshman from Missoula, qualified to finals in the girls’ triple jump.
