Lita Forse from Caldwell Takes First in Girls’ Shot Put at 2017 Simplot Games

Forse makes impressive mark at her first Simplot Games

Pocatello, Idaho – Lita Forse, a senior from Caldwell, Idaho, took first in girls’ shot put at 2017 Simplot Games with a distance of 40’7.50”.
This was her first appearance at the Games and Forse was impressed by the atmosphere.
“There’s a cool energy here,” said Forse. “It was pretty fun to be here and compete.”
Forse came to Simplot Games with the intention of preparing for the outdoor track and field season.
“Today was all about making a good mark before outdoor season,” said Forse.
More than 2,200 athletes came from across the U.S., Canada, and Australia to participate in the 39th annual Simplot Games. Simplot Games remains the nation’s premier high school indoor track and field event. Sponsored by the J.R.
