Isc International Track of Fresno, Calif., wins the girls’ 4×800-meter relay at 2015 Simplot Games

Pocatello, Idaho – Isc International Track Club of Fresno California won the 4×800-meter relay with a time of 9:27.18 at 2015 Simplot Games. This team is made up of seniors Bianca Bryant and Mikaela Smith, along with junior Anayn Alexander, and freshman Chloe Sharp.
While these girls are all California natives, they often have to travel quite a bit from their different cities to practice together, and ran today for the first time together in competition.
“We haven’t competed together before so it was really different to actually be on a track together,” Smith said.
“We’re very focused,” Sharp said, which she feels was a big contributor to their success at Simplot Games.
“Whether we’re scared, nervous, excited, sick, we’re all ready to run no matter what.” Bryant said.
More than 2,000 athletes have come from across the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Australia to participate in the 37th annual Simplot Games. Simplot Games remains the nation’s premier high school indoor track and field event. Sponsored by the J.R. Simplot Company since 1979, the Simplot Games are held at Idaho State University’s Holt Arena in Pocatello, Idaho.
