Pocatello, Idaho – Isaiah Rogers, a junior from Marietta, Georgia, won the boys’ shot put in his second appearance at Simplot Games with a throw of 61’6.25”. “The snow was a wake-up call this morning, but when I got here I felt great,” Rogers said. Last year’s Simplot Games was his first big out-of-state meet and he didn’t do as well as he had hoped. “It was a real learning experience,” Rogers said of last year’s competition. “But this year I felt really, really good.” More than 2,000 athletes have come from across the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Australia to participate in the 37th annual Simplot Games. Simplot Games remains the nation’s premier high school indoor track and field event. Sponsored by the J.R.
