Idaho Athletes Run, Dash and Vault into the 2018 Simplot Games Finals

Pocatello, Idaho – After a day and a half of stiff competition, Idaho athletes look to medal in multiple events at the 2018 Simplot Games.

Here is a list of Idaho athletes to watch for in the finals.

  • Madilyn Zink, a sophomore from Pocatello, was the only Idaho athlete to qualify for the girls’ 60-meter hurdle finals. Her time was 9.42 seconds.
  • Zach Meyer, a senior from Boise, finished third in the boys’ 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.24 seconds. He will compete on Saturday at 1:23 p.m.
  • Nathan Green, a freshman from Boise, finished fourth in a true tie with Caleb Armstrong, a junior from Hurricane, Utah, in the boys’ 1600 meters.
  • Paige Dallmann, a senior from Meridian, qualified for the pole vault finals on Saturday. Last year, she was the 5A District Champion in the pole vault, and placed third at the IHSAA 5A State Championships.

A full list of Idaho qualifiers is at the end of the release.
