SIMPLOT GAMES TO HOST BREAKFAST WITH TWO-TIME OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST VALARIE ALLMAN

Pocatello, Idaho – Tickets are now available for the Simplot Games’ Dick Fosbury Breakfast featuring Valarie Allman. The annual event will take place on Friday, February 21, at 7 a.m. at the ISU Student Union Ballroom.

Valarie Allman is this year’s keynote speaker. Allman is a two-time Olympic gold medalist, winning the discus at both the 2021 and 2024 Olympics. Allman also took bronze at the 2022 World Athletics Championships, making history as the first American woman to win a world championship medal in discus.

The Dick Fosbury Breakfast provides a unique opportunity for attendees to hear from one of the world’s best athletes and gain insights into her remarkable career and achievements.

A standout at Stanford University, Allman was a seven-time All-American and went on to represent the United States on the global stage. She earned a silver medal at the 2017 Summer Universiade and claimed her first national title in 2018, winning the U.S. National Championship in the discus.

Allman holds the North American record with her personal best in discus at an impressive 234’ 5.5” (71.46 meters). She set the record in 2022–it stands as the 15th longest throw in history and the longest in nearly 30 years.

Allman trains under Coach Zeb Sion at the University of Texas. She is currently sponsored by Asics.
