Two teams from Boise win All-Idaho Relays at 2016 Simplot Games
 
Pocatello, Idaho – YMCA Team Idaho ‘A’ won the girls’ All-Idaho relay with a time of 1:45.41 at the 2016 Simplot Games. The team made up of Kaylee Oyler, senior, Tristin Bowens, junior, Tatyana Jones, senior, and Maddy Dustin, senior, said the Simplot Games has a great atmosphere.

“There are always great athletes here that push you to do better,” said the team. “It is nice to come back every year and see familiar faces and renew friendships.”
 
Idaho Dash Track Club, also from Boise, won the boys’ All-Idaho relay with a time of 1:34.79. The team made up of Matt Dean, senior, Khalil Forehand, sophomore, Cameron Foiey, sophomore, and Ryan Tenn, sophomore, said the team’s hard work paid off.
 
“It’s nice to know we are the best in our state,” said the team. “We will have bragging rights for the season.”
 
More than 2,100 athletes have come from across the U.S., Canada, and Australia to participate in the 38th annual Simplot Games. Simplot Games remains the nation’s premier high school indoor track and field event. Sponsored by the J.R. Simplot Company since 1979, the Simplot Games are held at Idaho State University’s Holt Arena in Pocatello, Idaho.
