Pocatello, Idaho- On December 16 a GATX railcar unveiled its new Simplot Games logo at the Boise Depot in Boise. GATX has been a sponsor of Simplot Games since 2008.
Bill Whitacre, J.R. Simplot Company’s President and CEO, conducted the unveiling and presented GATX an award for becoming a Gold Level Sponsor of Simplot Games.
“We are thrilled to have the Simplot Games logo on a GATX railcar,” said Lisa Woodland, Simplot Games Executive Director. “GATX has been a sponsor for many years and we are excited to have them as a Gold Level Sponsor this year. We are also excited to show off our partnership with the Simplot Games GATX railcar. I can’t wait for athletes in Idaho and throughout the country see this new railcar.”
GATX is a global leader in railcar leasing, and provides railcars for the J.R. Simplot Company.
Olympians Stacy Dragila and Dick Fosbury attended the unveiling event. Both will be attending the 2015 Simplot Games.
More than 2,000 athletes will come from across the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Australia to participate in the 37th annual Simplot Games. Simplot Games remains the nation’s premier high school indoor track and field event. Sponsored by the J.R. Simplot Company since 1979, the Simplot Games are held at Idaho State University’s Holt Arena in Pocatello, Idaho.
