Pocatello, Idaho – Strong performances are being achieved at Simplot Games with a significant number of athletes advancing to Saturday’s finals.
Finals will commence Saturday morning, February 22, 2025. Multiple Idaho athletes have qualified at the 45th Simplot Games. Some of the top qualifiers include:
- Tegon Lords and Chase Lawyer from Boise qualified with the first and second fastest times in the boys’ 60-meter hurdles.
- Christine Huckins from Nampa qualified with the best times in both the girls’ 60- and 200-meter dash.
- Isabella Burnett of Kimberly and Hannah Bingham of Boise completed the girls’ 400-meter dash with the two best times.
A full list of Idaho qualifiers is at the end of the release.
They all seek to join Rathdrum’s Joseph Miraya atop the medal stand. Miraya won the boy’s weight throw on Thursday night with a distance of 68’0”, a throw that beat his previous personal record by four feet.
