MONTANA ATHLETES SHINE IN FIELD EVENTS AT 44TH SIMPLOT GAMES

Pocatello, Idaho – Tesse Kampas from Bozeman and Andrew Burrows from Hamilton earned gold medal finishes in the shot put events at the 44th Simplot Games in Pocatello, Idaho. Montana athletes outlasted many of their competitors, making for an impressive showing for the BIg Sky state in several field events.

In total, nine Montana athletes experienced the podium during the final day of 2024 Simplot Games action.

More than 2,000 athletes from across the U.S., Canada, and Australia are participating in the 44th Simplot Games. Simplot Games remains the nation’s premier high school indoor track and field event. Sponsored by the J.R. Simplot Company since 1979, the Simplot Games are held at Idaho State University’s ICCU Dome in Pocatello, Idaho.
