Maddie Rabing, of Lake Oswego Ore. Wins Girls’ Weight Throw at 2016 Simplot Games
Pocatello, Idaho – Maddie Rabing, a senior from Lake Oswego, Ore., won the girls weight throw with a distance of 55’05” at the 2016 Simplot Games.

“It felt great to beat my personal best,” said Rabing. “I tried to just relax and not think to much about it. It’s really exciting.”
This is Rabing’s first year at Simplot Games. Rabing also looks to place in the shot put at this year’s Games. She will be attending the University of Oregon to throw next year.
More than 2,100 athletes have come from across the U.S., Canada, and Australia to participate in the 38th annual Simplot Games. Simplot Games remains the nation’s premier high school indoor track and field event. Sponsored by the J.R. Simplot Company since 1979, the Simplot Games are held at Idaho State University’s Holt Arena in Pocatello, Idaho.
