Jace Jensen of Bountiful, Utah, Wins Boys’ 400 Meters at 2019 Simplot Games

 
Pocatello, Idaho—Jace Jensen, a senior from Bountiful, Utah, placed first in the boys’ 400 meters at the 2019 Simplot Games with a time 49.65 seconds.
“I was expecting at the beginning to win again, but as I saw my competitors run, I started to get nervous. I knew this was going to be hard,” Jensen said.
This is Jensen’s second year at Simplot Games and second consecutive medal in the 400 meters.
More than 2,100 athletes will come from across the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand to participate in the 41st annual Simplot Games. Simplot Games remains the nation’s premier high school indoor track and field event. Sponsored by the J.R. Simplot Company since 1979, the Simplot Games are held at Idaho State University’s Holt Arena in Pocatello, Idaho.
