Idaho Athletes Run, Dash and Vault into the 2019 Simplot Games Finals
Pocatello, Idaho– Idaho athletes represented their home state through the rigorous day and a half of qualifiers and look to medal in multiple events in the 2019 Simplot Games finals. Here is a list of Idaho athletes to watch for in the finals.
Paige Tekippe, a sophomore from Boise, qualified in both the girls’ long jump and the girls’ triple jump. She long jumps at 8:30 a.m. and triple jumps at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Ty Wright, a senior from Shelley, qualified for the boys’ high jump finals. He jumps at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Nathan Green, a sophomore from Boise, qualified first in the boys’ 1600 meters with a time of 4:24.39. He will race at 2:05 p.m. on Saturday.
Lexy Halladay, a junior from Boise, qualified second in the girls’ 1600 meters with a time of 5:04.68. She will compete at 1:55 p.m. on Saturday.

More than 2,200 athletes will come from across the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand to participate in the 41st annual Simplot Games.
