Schrage fouled on two of his three jumps in the prelims, but continued to press forward to make the finals. On his fifth attempt in the finals, Schrage took the win despite fouling on two of his longest jumps of the day.

“After barely making the finals, I am happy to be taking home the win,” said Schrage. “Being at Simplot Games is an awesome experience with the wooden track and so many legends walking around. You can’t get anything like this meet anywhere else.”

This is Schrage’s second year at Simplot Games. Last year he placed second with the jump 23’10.25.

More than 2,100 athletes have come from across the U.S., Canada, and Australia to participate in the 38th annual Simplot Games. Simplot Games remains the nation’s premier high school indoor track and field event. Sponsored by the J.R.
