Fort Collins Track Club from Colo. wins 2015 Simplot Games girls’ 4×200-meter relay
 
Pocatello, Idaho–The Fort Collins Track Club ‘A’, of Fort Collins, Colo., wins the 4×200-meter relay at the 2015 Simplot Games. Audra Koopman, a sophomore, Becca Schulte, a junior, Savannah Mercado, a senior, and Carly Lester, a senior, ran a time of 1:39.78 to get the first place medal.

“We gave it our all and did it for each other,” said Mercado.
 
This is a back-to-back win for the Fort Collins Track Club. Koopman and Lester were both part of the team that won this event at last year’s Simplot Games.
 
“We wanted to come here and run well again,” said Lester. “And we ran a second faster than last year.”
 
 
More than 2,000 athletes have come from across the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Australia to participate in the 37th annual Simplot Games. Simplot Games remains the nation’s premier high school indoor track and field event. Sponsored by the J.R. Simplot Company since 1979, the Simplot Games are held at Idaho State University’s Holt Arena in Pocatello, Idaho.
