Denver Lightning Track Wins the Girls’ 4×400-Meter Relay at the 2018 Simplot Games
Pocatello, Idaho – The Denver Lightning Track Team A won the girls’ 4×400-meter relay at the 2018 Simplot Games with a time of 3:54.44.
The team was made up of freshman Kyairra Reigh, sophomore Kiona Gibbs, junior Helen Maley, and junior Nina Kemp. They said as a team they like to “have fun, stay relaxed, and not take it too seriously.”
They all plan to return to Simplot Games next year, with the goal of setting the meet record in this event.

More than 2,200 athletes will come from across the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand to participate in the 40th annual Simplot Games. Simplot Games remains the nation’s premier high school indoor track and field event. Sponsored by the J.R. Simplot Company since 1979, the Simplot Games are held at Idaho State University’s Holt Arena in Pocatello, Idaho.
