“It’s an honor to win at Simplot Games,” he said. “I have been coming here for three years so there were big expectations coming in.” Carbin was close to breaking the Simplot Games record for the high jump when he tried for 7’-2.5”, but all three attempts came up just short. “The goal coming in was to get seven feet,” he said. “The record would have been great but I am just thrilled to have won two events at Simplot Games.” Carbin has committed to the University of Georgia for track and field. More than 2,100 athletes have come from across the U.S., Canada, and Australia to participate in the 38th annual Simplot Games.
