Aubrey Frentheway, from Cheyenne, Wyo., Wins Girls’ 3200 Meters at 2018 Simplot Games

Pocatello, Idaho –Aubrey Frentheway, a senior from Cheyenne, Wyo., won the girls’ 3200 meters at the 2018 Simplot Games with the time of 10:47.02.

“I went out to put myself in a good position,” Frentheway said. “I started feeling good in lap 11 and just went for the win.”

Frentheway was also a part of the winning 4×800-meter relay team. She plans to compete for Brigham Young University in the fall.

More than 2,200 athletes will come from across the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand to participate in the 40^th annual Simplot Games. Simplot Games remains the nation’s premier high school indoor track and field event. Sponsored by the J.R. Simplot Company since 1979, the Simplot Games are held at Idaho State University’s Holt Arena in Pocatello, Idaho.
