Pocatello, Idaho – The 45th Simplot Games return to Pocatello February 20-22, 2025, at Idaho State University’s ICCU Dome (formerly Holt Arena). Registration is now open; athletes and teams can register online at https://simplotgames.com/register/.
While Simplot Games attracts top high school athletes from across the country, it is an open meet, meaning athletes do not need a certain qualifying time or distance to be able to compete. Everyone is welcome at the Games, allowing high school athletes from all over the world a chance to compete and have fun. Thanks to generous contributions from sponsors, Simplot Games also boasts free admission for spectators.
Not only will over 2,000 track and field athletes get the opportunity to compete at an open meet, they will also have the chance to mingle with Olympic legends including Willie Banks, Andre Phillips, Stacy Dragila, John Register, Tyson Gunter and this year’s special guest, two-time Olympic discus gold-medalist Valarie Allman.
“We can’t wait to welcome athletes and spectators to Simplot Games,” said Simplot Games Director Kristi Borgholthaus. “It is the event’s 45th year, and we look forward to celebrating with the community. It promises to be an exciting weekend filled with great competition and inspiring performances.”
Though much of the action takes place at the Games, the highly anticipated Dick Fosbury Breakfast will take place on February 21 and feature Olympic discus thrower Valarie Allman. Allman earned Olympic gold in both the 2021 and 2024 Games. Allman will speak about her experience as an Olympian while attendees enjoy breakfast. Tickets are required for the Games’ Dick Fosbury Breakfast and can be purchased by online at the Simplot Games store.
