2024 SIMPLOT GAMES RETURNS FEBRUARY 15-17
Registration now open for one of nation’s premier high school indoor track and field events
Pocatello, Idaho – The 44th Simplot Games returns to Pocatello, Idaho, February 15-17, 2024, at Idaho State University’s ICCU Dome (formerly Holt Arena). Registration is now open; athletes and teams can register online at https://simplotgames.com/register/.
While Simplot Games attracts top high school athletes from across the country, it is an open meet, meaning athletes do not need a certain qualifying time or distance to be able to compete. Everyone is welcome at the Games, allowing high school athletes from all over the world a chance to compete and have fun. The Simplot Games also boasts free admission for spectators.
Not only will over 2,000 track and field athletes get the opportunity to compete at an open meet, they will also have the chance to mingle with Olympic legends, including Andre Phillips, Willie Banks, Stacy Dragila, John Register, Tyson Gynter, and this year’s special guest, Olympic Skeleton Silver Medalist Noelle Pikus-Pace.
“We are thrilled to welcome athletes, spectators and the community to Simplot Games,” said Lisa Woodland, Executive Director of Simplot Games. “ISU’s newly renovated ICCU Dome will no doubt be filled with energy and excitement as athletes compete over the three-day event. We are excited to witness the determination and talent of all the athletes, and cheer them on as races are run, records are set, and friendships are made.”
Though much of the action takes place at the Games, the highly anticipated Breakfast with Fosbury and Friends will take place on February 16 and feature Olympian Noelle Pikus-Pace. Pikus-Pace won five medals at the Fédération Internationale de Bobsleigh et de Toboganning (FIBT) World Championships, the 2004-2005 Skeleton World Cup overall title, competed in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, and won the silver medal in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. Pikus-Pace will speak and then take audience questions while attendees enjoy breakfast.
Tickets are required for Breakfast with Fosbury and Friends and can be purchased by calling (208) 235-5604 or online at the Simplot Games store. More information on the Simplot games can be found online at www.simplotgames.com.
