Pocatello, Idaho- The YMCA Team Idaho track club won the All-Idaho girls and boys relays at the 34th Annual Simplot Games. They beat out all other teams competing from the Gem State in the boys and girls 4×200 meter relay races, making them the fastest 4×200 relay teams in Idaho.

The girls team included Nichole Degrange, Jacarei Echevarria, Brianna Tiffany and Alex Van Halder.

“The competition was tough, it made us really push ourselves, but it was fun,” Degrange said.

The winning boys team was Tanner Kauffman, Mike Boisvert, Terry Conway and Marcus Barber.

This was the first time they ran together as a relay team, and the win came as a surprise to them because, as Kauffman said: “There’s pretty strong competition in Idaho.”
