Pocatello, Idaho- Iesha Hardiman, a sophomore from Santa Clara, California, claimed the gold medal in the girls 400-meter dash with time of 55.88 seconds.

Hardiman took lessons from last year’s fourth place finish and applied them in her 2010 strategy.

Pocatello, Idaho- Michael Okoro, a senior, from Federal Way, Washington, pulled out a victory in the boys’ 400-meter event with a time of 49.14 at the 32nd Simplot Games.

Although Okoro didn’t go under 49 seconds, which was his goal, he was happy to walk away from this big of an event with a win.
